[Nigeria] NPFL: Rivers United Hopes For Turnaround in Jos

Seven points separates Rivers United and the current Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table leaders Kwara United.

The Port Harcourt side will face Plateau United in Jos on Wednesday in a resheduled NPFL Matchday 10 tie knowing that a decent result at the Jos township Stadium, will restore confidence that seem short at the moment.

Plateau United have not lost any game at home this season and Rivers United have only won once, away from home this term (against Abia Warriors).

Chinedu Anozie is expected to continue in goal for Plateau United after earning a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw against FC IfeanyiUbah in Nnewi.

Oche Ochowechi, Gabriel Wassa, all former Rivers United players, Andrew Ikefe, Ibrahim Mustapha and long throw specialist, Daniel Itodo are some of the individuals head coach of Plateau United, Abdu Maikaba will be relying on to deliver the goods.

Daniel Jackson, Sunday Anthony, Isah Ndala and Mike Zaruma are other key dramatis personae that can cause damage to the Pride of Rivers’ aspirations of getting all three points on matchday.

The mood in the Rivers United camp is very positive inspite of the challenging times following the recent poor run of form and technical adviser Stanley Eguma insist his team will turn their season around.
